What can I use this for?
Using the Chrome extension is a super-fast and easy way to capture your screen, tab, webcam, and microphone to share your message with just a few clicks. You can use the Chrome extension to record any course or educational presentation that can be shared via a link or Hub.
Step 1 - Configure your Chrome extension settings
Inside your Chrome extension, select your desired settings. Feel free to use this article as a helpful reference.
Step 2 - Set up your presentation
Step 2a - Set up your Canva presentation
Inside your Canva presentation, click to access the Present dropdown menu and select Presenter view as your Type. Click Present to enter into the Presenter view.
The Presenter view will open your Canva presentation in an Audience Window.
Inside the Chrome extension, select Screen as what to record and click Start Recording.
Under Window, select the Canva Audience Window to record and click Share once you are ready to start your recording.
Once you are done with your presentation, click the ⏹️ stop button to finish the recording.
Step 2b - Set up your Google Slides presentation
Inside Google Slides, click on Slideshow and select Presenter View.
While in this view, your presentation will fill your entire browser window. Once your presentation is ready, just click Screen > Start Recording > Chrome Tab (select your presentation) > Share when you're ready to start.
Once you are done with your presentation, click the ⏹️ stop button to finish the recording.
Step 2c - Set up your Keynote presentation
First, make sure that you'll be presenting in Window mode. This will allow you to switch windows while in Present mode so you can record using the Chrome extension. Just click Play and choose In Window.
Go back to your Keynote presentation and this time click the ▶️ play button to display it in Window mode, which will allow you to switch to your browser to launch the Chrome extension.
Once again, select Screen as what to record and click Start Recording.
Under Window, select the Keynote presentation to record and click Share once you are ready to start your recording.
Once you are done with your presentation, click the ⏹️ stop button to finish the recording.
