Customize, edit, and share content with the File Manager

 

Access the File Manager

Access your Library to view all the files inside your account. When you find the file you wish to customize, click on it in the library and the file manager will slide in from the right.

Preview your file

The thumbnail at the top of the File Manager is the file preview. You can click the large ▶️ play button in the middle of the thumbnail to start watching the video and even search through the transcription using the magnifying glass in the top right corner once the video begins playing.

Manage your file

 There are many things you can do from the file manager:

• Edit your file's title and description

• Trim your file
• Edit your file's transcript

• Share your file

• Move or download your file

• Change your file's thumbnail
• Add chapters to your file
• Add cards to your file
• Add attachments to your file
• Give your file content tags
• Set your file's privacy
• Generate content from your file using Copilot
• See activity and stats for your file
  
  

Edit your File Title and Description

Edit the Title and Description of your file, and click ✔️ to save any changes. Any updates made to the Title or Description will reflect anywhere that file is shared.

Use rich text to bold, italicize, strikeout, underline, or link text in your file's description.

Trim your file

The slide-out panel acts as your canvas. Here are all the awesome things you can do with the trimming feature:

• Trim your video clip by dragging the handles on the left and right sides.
• Move the selected part of video content anywhere in the timeline.
• Adjust your clip's start and end times by clicking on each box and entering the desired time.
• Use your keyboard's left and right arrow keys to move the playhead five seconds into the timeline for each keypress.
• You can also snap to the current position of the playhead on the timeline easily. For example, clicking the "Snap to Current Time" button in the Start field allows you to set a new start time for your video content when the playhead is near the left trim handle. Similarly, you can adjust the end time when the playhead is positioned near the right trim handle.

Edit your file's transcript

Click the Edit Transcript icon to the left of the Share icon to launch the transcript editor. Use it to edit your media transcriptions and captions and improve the accessibility of your content.

Share your file

Click the Share icon to pick between the various file-sharing options

• Embed—This is where you can grab your file's Embed Code if you're looking to integrate this file into another platform.
• Copy URL
• Copy URL with Copilot
• Preview
• Preview with Copilot

 

 

Move or download your file

Click the three-dot menu icon to add your file to a playlist, move it to a different folder, download it, or delete it.

Deleting the file will still count towards your monthly upload limit.

 

 

 

 

Customize your File

Use the File Manager to:

• Upload a thumbnail for your file

• Add context to your file using chapters

• Add cards to your file

• Add resources and other attachments to your file

• Use content tags to help you organize your files

• Control your file's privacy—toggle between the different Privacy settings for your file: Only Me, Unlisted, and Domain Embed.

• Generate more content and answer questions using Copilot

 

View your file's performance

You can also use the File Manager to view file statistics such as the file's Activity and Stats. These are great for analyzing the performance of a piece of media.
