Use Audience Tags to manage your Audience
Read our overview into what Audience Tags make possible within Membership.io Hub
What is an "audience tag"?
Audience Tags allow you to organize and manage your Audience. You can also use Audience Tags to control content visibility by using Audience Tags as Segment filters.
Audience Tags should not be confused with Content Tags, as both are used for different reasons inside Membership.io. Audience Tags are used to manage Audiences, whereas File Tags are used to manage media files.
If you want to attach the same Audience Tag to many people, you can use the mass import tool or bulk actions inside the Audiences tab to tag multiple people in one go. You can also pass Audience Tags in to Membership.io through Zapier.
Where are Audience Tags created?
Audience Tags can be created in two places:
- From the Data page of your account, or
- Inside the Audience Tag dropdown menu of Audience Profiles.
Here are a couple actions you can take with Audience Tags:
How To Assign an existing audience tag To An Audience Member
Open the Audience tab of your Membership.io account.
Find and open a profile you want to assign an audience tag and click on it to see all the details about that person.
Scroll to Audience Tags and click Edit.
Select an existing tag or type in a new tag name to add and assign. There is no limit to the number of Audience Tags you can add.
Once you've added all your Audience Tags, click Save. You can revisit this Audience Profile to adjust the tags at any time.
Create a segment using Audience Tags
If you'd like to use your Audience Tags to filter and segment your audience, you can use your Audience Tags as a filter condition.
Edit or delete Audience Tags
If you ever need to rename or delete an Audience tag, you can do so on your Data page.
