Replace the default thumbnail for a file or playlist in your Hub
🧰 What You Will Need
- A Hub
- A Hub Playlist with media content
What can I use this for?
Follow the steps in this article to change the thumbnail image of a file or playlist within your Hub. While the process is similar to changing thumbnail images for files and playlists in your Library, it's important to note that these two are independent of each other. Therefore, any changes made to files or playlists inside your Hub will not affect those in the Library and vice versa.
Step 1 - Access your Hub Editor
From your Hubs list, click the Customize button on the Hub for which you want to update the Hub Playlist.
Step 2 - Navigate to the file manager in your Hub Playlist
Inside the Hub editor, go to your Hub playlist page by clicking on Content.
Click on the intended Hub Playlist to display the options that will slide in from the right.
Next, access the file customization options by selecting the media file.
Step 3 - Change the file's thumbnail image
Once inside the file manager, click Thumbnail to change the thumbnail image of your media file.
Click ⬆️ Upload and select the image saved on your device to upload.
The recommended size is 1280 x 720 pixels or 16:9 aspect ratio.
To ensure best practices, avoid uploading a thumbnail with special characters (such as %, $, #, @, etc.) in its name. We recommend removing these characters from the file before uploading it.
