However, members cannot comment on videos added via custom layout sections. This feature is exclusively compatible with playlists or video files added through the content sections, such as feature, search, scroll, grid, etc.

Step 3 - Interact with others and share thoughts on the content

Now with a more natural flow of information and interaction, you can use various commenting tools to make content consumption meaningful, engaging, and personal.

Mention other members in a comment

Mention a person in a comment by typing '@' followed by their name, and they will be notified immediately to engage in the discussion so they don't miss any important information.

Mention in Comments

Reply on replies

When you reply to a reply in a comment, it automatically mentions the original commenter. Not only that, the line indicator also makes it very clear which replies belong to which main comment. This helps to create organized conversation threads and ensures that everyone can follow the responses. It's perfect for having well-structured conversations within Hubs.

Automatic mention

Leaving comments on mobile devices is easy; the comment box now stays at the bottom of the screen.

Add an attachment, image, or video to your comment

Add an image, attachment, and video* to your Hub comments! This feature makes sharing visual content and resources easier within your community. Easily add files by dragging and dropping them into the comments area or copying and pasting images and files directly into your comments. Note that there is a 100 MB upload and a 10-file limit per comment.

Attach file, add image, or add video

*Audience members can now insert Membership.io videos in the comments, complete with a link and icon for easy access. This feature mirrors the YouTube posting option, making content sharing easier. They can also use the screen recorder to create and share their videos, enhancing user experience.

Check notifications

Now with an unread status indicator, it is easier to check and clear notifications by clicking each one to view the related content or mark all of them as read through a single click. This enhancement helps to stay organized and ensures no important information is missed.

Hub Notifications

To receive real-time browser alerts when someone has interacted with your comment, just click your profile picture/avatar then select Account Settings > Preferences. From here, you can Turn On browser notifications for real-time alerts.

Additionally, you can set to receive email notifications for any relevant activity in the hub. Turn off this feature if you prefer to manage notifications exclusively within the Hub.
