🧰 What You Will Need

Update on Our Chrome Extension

We want to be transparent about our current challenges with the Chrome extension. Due to recent changes implemented by Chrome, we’ve had to rebuild the extension from the ground up. While working diligently to ship the updated version, we’ve encountered several unexpected roadblocks impacting stability.

Our team is fully committed to resolving these issues and delivering a reliable update as soon as possible. We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this.

If you have any questions or need support in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

December 5, 2024 Update - We’ve rolled out a new version that has fixed some issues but our work continues.

Step 1 - Start a recording

Once you've installed and pinned the Chrome Extension to your Chrome browser, click the Membership.io icon in your browser's top-right corner. After clicking the icon, a pop-up window will appear. From this window, click ⏺️ Start Recording.

Launch the Chrome extension

There are three main recording options: Screen, Tab area, and Camera. For example, if you choose Screen and click Start Recording, you must select between Entire Screen, Window, and Chrome Tab. Click Share after you have made your selection to begin the recording.

Choose what to share

Step 2 - The Annotation/Drawing tool

Once the recording begins, click the annotation (pencil) icon of the Control Menu.

Step 3 - Draw, erase, and point to information

Now that the annotation options are visible, you can draw, highlight things, and do more on your recording.
