Learn what Wisdom is and how you can use it to create a personal GPT chatbot
๐งฐ What You Will Need
- An activated Membership.io account
- A Folder with content
What is Wisdom and how can I get started with using it?
Wisdom uses the power of GPT to allow anyone with a library of content to create a customized chat assistant.
If youโre interested in getting started with Wisdomโข youโll need a Membership.io account, then:
- ๐ฅ Import your existing and future content by hooking up one of our many app connections.
- โก Head to the Wisdom App in your account to start building out your personalized chatbot from your content.
- ๐ Serve Effectively (and Efficiently): Embed or share your new chatbot anywhere to get your people the answers they need quickly.
Step 1 - Create your plugin
Head over to your Apps page in your Membership.io account and click on Wisdom Plugins to create a new plugin. Give it a name, then click on your new widget to build it. ๐
Step 2 - Build your plugin
Inside your newly created plugin, use the โ๏ธSettings tab to set up and populate the content and copy attached to your plugin. Any changes made can be seen in the Wisdom plugin on the right.
Add videos and audio from which your plugin can pull in the Content tab. This is the content the plugin will use as its "brain" to generate its responses, so it is important to consider what Folders and content are included. Folders are used for internal content organization and allow you to group large volumes of content. Any content imported from a third party (like your Podcast or Zoom) will automatically get sorted into one neat folder.
If no specific folders are selected, Wisdom will search through your entire Library to generate responses.
You can also collect the names and emails of visitors interacting with your plugin. Click on the Collect Leads option or check this article for more information.
Continuing through the Elements section, you can add a Headline, Profile Image, and Description.
Lastly, create some Default Prompts to jumpstart your audience's interaction with the plugin.
Step 3 - Finalize how your plugin is styled
Once you're happy with the plugin's settings, you can toggle over to the Styling menu to customize how the plugin itself appears and what colors are used. The preview on the right will show what it will look like after making changes.
- Use the Colors menu to pick an accent and background color.
- Use Overlay to select a custom background.
- Use the Layout menu and choose between a floating or full-height layout type. Within this option, you can also configure the alignment and choose between Custom or Preset button type.
Continuing through the menu, you also have other options for styling your plugin.
- Use Typography to choose a font that best suits your brand.
- Under Theme, you can type in a search placeholder. The default is "Type a question..." which you can change to something that might resonate better with you and your audience.
Step 4 - Try it out ๐จ
Enter a prompt into the plugin to watch Wisdom work its magic. ๐ช
To help improve Wisdom accuracy, we encourage you to submit feedback by clicking the ๐ or ๐ below and leaving a quick note to tell us what you liked about the Wisdom response, or what may need some improvement.
Step 5 - Share your plugin with your audience
You have two ways to share your Wisdom plugin with your audience:
- Embed your plugin into any website. Simply paste the embed code found with your plugin inside an HTML section on your website.
- Share the direct link to your plugin. This will open your plugin to a new page for your audience. ๐
