What can I use this for?
When building or maintaining your Hub, you may want to check what a specific member can see and access. This is especially useful when testing content visibility, segments, or conditional content.
You can do this by impersonating a Hub member from their Contact Profile. This lets you view the Hub from that member's perspective and verify that your access and visibility settings are working as expected.

Impersonate from Hub Members
Step 1 – Access the Member profile
From your Hub dashboard, click Members > All Members.
Find the member profile you want to test in the members list.
Step 2 – Impersonate the member
Click the three-dot menu on the selected member profile and choose Impersonate.
Impersonate from Contacts
Step 1 – Access the Contact Profile
From the Contacts tab in your Membership.io account, search for a profile you want to test.
Once found, click the profile from the list and open their Person Details.
Step 2 – Impersonate the member
Under Hub Access, you'll see the list of Hubs accessible to that person. All you need to do is click the three-dot menu beside the Hub name you wish to impersonate and select Impersonate.
IMPORTANT: Do not impersonate an Admin account for testing segments or conditional content, because the Admin view includes elevated access and will not reflect what Hub members actually see. Instead, impersonate an existing member or create a test account with the correct tags or segment conditions applied.
Step 3 – View the Hub as the Member
Once you've clicked Impersonate, your web browser will open a new tab. In this tab, you will see the Hub as your selected Profile. This is indicated in the blue bar across the top of the window.
NOTE: By default, direct messages are not accessible for testing during member impersonation to protect privacy.
If you're using Safari
Because your member-impersonated Hub will appear as a pop-up window from Membership.io, you want to make sure that Safari is set up to accept pop-ups from it. Please click herefor guidance.
