What can you fit in a Hub?

What is a Hub?
A hub is a public or private space for you to package and deliver your digital products. It’s designed for memberships and works great for courses, coaching programs, and more.
Think of a Hub as a private website where you can deliver your content to your members. Hubs are generally private and one Hub is most often used for one product.
Virtually any offering or program that uses audio and/or video content can be hosted on a Hub.
Hubs can be either public or private. Private Hubs can be tailored to control who has access to what content, allowing you to host multiple groups within the same Membership Hub that have access to only the content that they should have access to.
Can you host multiple programs inside one Hub?
It depends. With Membership.io’s Segments feature, you can manage multiple courses, memberships, or coaching programs within a single private Hub. However, just because you can doesn’t always mean you should.
The best approach depends on your content volume, member overlap, and branding consistency. Below are key factors to help you decide whether to group programs or keep them separate.
How to decide the best Hub content structure
To help decide what programs you'd like to deliver inside your Hub, consider these factors:
Volume of content
- How big is each of your programs?
- How many videos are included in each offer?
- Does one course have significantly more videos (e.g., 60) than your other courses (e.g., a maximum of 3)? If that's the case, you should consider keeping your larger course in a separate Hub from the others to provide a more organized experience.
Member overlap
- Do your programs target the same audience, or do they serve different communities?
- If your customers frequently purchase multiple programs, grouping them in one Hub might improve their experience.
- If your audiences are distinct, keeping programs in separate Hubs can help maintain clarity and personalization.
Branding consistency
- Do all your programs share the same visual style, including colors, fonts, and logos?
🎨 NOTE: If branding varies significantly, separate Hubs may provide a more cohesive experience for each audience.
Some tips for organizing your Hub from our customer success team
✔️ Group similar content together
- Bundle starter courses and related programs in the same Hub.
- Consider offering a single pricing plan that includes access to multiple related courses.
✔️ Keep membership tiers together
- If you offer multiple membership levels (e.g., Basic, Premium, VIP), it’s best to house them in the same Hub for seamless access.
✔️ Consider cohort-based vs. evergreen programs
- If your program runs in cohorts (e.g., a guided 12-week coaching group), you may want to keep these separate from evergreen programs.
- Evergreen memberships and always-available courses often work best in their own separate Hubs to minimize ongoing maintenance.
✔️ When in doubt, keep programs separate
- If you're unsure about structuring your Hub, default to keeping programs in separate Hubs. This makes it easier to scale, audit, and restructure later if needed.
