Connect your YouTube channel

NOTE: Only Public YouTube content will be added to the Library, private and unlisted content cannot be imported due to privacy restrictions.

Step 1 - Head to the Apps tab

From the Apps page inside your Membership.io account, find and click on YouTube.

Step 2 - Connect your YouTube channel

Click ➕ Add YouTube Channel to enter your channel URL.

Click Add Channel.

Step 3 - Confirm the account is added

Once you've added your channel, you will see it listed in your YouTube connections.

A new YouTube content folder is also created in your Library where you can manually import content.

NOTE: You need to request YouTube verification from our support team to enable the Sync and Import Settings.

Step 4 - Request YouTube verification

To enable the sync and import settings for your YouTube content, please get in touch with support to verify your YouTube channel.

NOTE: If your channel remains unverified, only the files present at the time of adding the channel to Membership.io will be imported. 

Step 5 - Add media

Once your channel is verified, you can easily sync and import content, or you can choose to skip the manual process by enabling automatic importing for your folder of future recordings. This feature will automatically create a copy of the recordings in your Membership.io account and generate transcriptions. Any new recordings will be automatically added to this folder.

If you have a lot of content in your YouTube account, you can process all your content in your YouTube Folder in one go using the "Import All" function.

Disconnecting your YouTube channel

To disconnect your YouTube channel from Membership.io, simply navigate back to the connection in your Apps page and click your connection options to 🗑 Remove.
