Getting started with Discussion posts

Engage and interact with posts in your Hub community

"Discussions" within your Hub Community is a custom dynamic space that enables members to engage in conversations and collaboration through posts. This feature transforms your Hub into an interactive forum where your members gather around "virtually" to connect, share documents and insights, and build a strong community.

Interact with posts

You can engage with posts by liking them or adding comments.

Like and Comment on a post

All members can add an attachment, insert an image, or embed a video* to support posts and comments!

*Community members can now insert Membership.io videos in Community posts, complete with a link and icon for easy access. This feature mirrors the YouTube posting option, making content sharing easier. They can also use the screen recorder to create and share their videos, enhancing user experience.

Start a discussion on your preferred space

You can create posts to share ideas, ask questions, or start discussions on your chosen space within the Community (applies to Community Moderators and the Admin).

When you're subscribed to at least the Grow plan, you have the option to broadcast your post to all your members by toggling Notify all members about this post just before you hit the "Post" button.

Perform more actions

Clicking the three-dot menu icon on posts and comments gives you these options to perform additional actions:

  • Copy URL: Share a direct link to the post.
  • Edit: Modify the content of your posts if needed.
  • Pin (or Hide pinned) posts: Highlight important posts by pinning them at the top or remove pinned posts by selecting "Unpin".
  • Turn on/off comments: Allow/Prevent other members from leaving comments on the post.
  • Make private/public: Make posts only visible to authors/moderators or to everyone.
  • Move to space: Move members' posts between spaces in the Community.
  • Delete: Remove posts that are no longer relevant.

Stay updated with real-time notifications* for likes, comments, and replies to your posts by clicking the notification bell icon.
