Create a mobile app-like version of your Hub

Create an app-like shortcut to your Hub using a mobile browser so that members can open it directly from their phone's home screen

🧰 What You Will Need

  • An existing Hub (Start Plan or higher)
  • A mobile phone with a modern browser (Chrome on Android recommended; Safari on iPhone)

Enable your members to access your Hub instantly, just like any normal mobile phone app, keeping them connected to your community, coaching sessions, or discussions with a single tap—no need to search for links or retype the URL.

Step 1 - Open your Hub in a mobile browser

  • Open the browser (Chrome on Android or Safari on iPhone) on your phone.
  • Enter your Hub’s URL and load the site home/landing page to open from the home screen.

Step 2 - Install the Hub or add (a shortcut) to your home screen

Android (Chrome)

Chrome on Android typically offers one of two menu options, depending on the site and browser version:

  • Tap the browser menu (three dots).
  • Find and tap Add to Home screen and choose from the following:
    • Install > Install ( this will create a standalone app)
    • Create shortcut > Rename (optional) > Add > Add to home screen (shortcuts open in Chrome)

The Hub app or shortcut will appear on the home screen.

NOTES:

  • “Install” creates a more app-like experience (standalone window, no address bar) when the site provides a web app manifest and supports PWA behavior.
  • “Create shortcut” always creates a shortcut icon that opens the page in the browser.

iOS (Safari)

  • Open Safari and navigate to your Hub URL.
  • Tap the Share icon (square with an arrow).
  • Scroll the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
  • Optionally edit the name, then tap Add in the top-right corner.

The shortcut appears on the home screen and opens the Hub in a standalone web view.

NOTES:

On iOS, the experience may look app-like if the site includes the correct meta tags and manifest, but behavior varies by iOS version. If you don’t see “Add to Home Screen,” confirm you are using Safari (not another browser).

Step 3 - Remove or update the shortcut

  • To remove: Long-press the icon and choose Delete/Remove/Uninstall.
  • To update: Remove and re-add the shortcut to pick up new icons/titles (may update automatically depending on the browser).

‼️ IMPORTANT: Some browsers and older OS versions behave differently; always test on at least one Android and one iOS device before sharing these instructions with your members.
