Connect to Zapier
Use our Zapier integration to instantly connect Membership.io with 2000+ apps and start automating tedious processes in your business
🧰 What You Will Need
-
A solid grasp of Zapier
-
A Membership.io account
-
Access to another software that integrates with Zapier
There are many ways you can use Membership.io's Zapier integration to automate business processes. You might use Zapier to automate the addition of members to your Hub when they pay you through software like ThriveCart, or you may want to send a message to a Slack channel whenever you upload a video to a specific Folder on Membership.io. The possibilities are virtually endless.
Visit our page on Zapier for inspiration on the types of automation you can create.
Here's a quick video showing how to connect Zapier:
Step 1 – Log in to Zapier
Log in to your Zapier account or create a new account.
Step 2 – Establish App Connections
From the home screen, click App connections > + Create connection.

Search for and choose the app name (e.g., "Membership.io"), and click Add connection. Log in to your account when prompted.

Step 3 – Create your Zap
Now that you've connected your Membership.io and Zapier accounts, you're ready to start building your first Zap.
Access your Zapier dashboard and start creating your workflow by clicking + Create > Zaps.
NOTE: The exact Zap workflow you need to use depends on which shopping cart platform you are using. Each platform has its terminology reflected in the options available in the Zapier integration, but all platforms will generally have some equivalent of a "new successful purchase" inside Zapier.
Example: Automated Hub access
Check out the chart below to see which Zap Trigger Event you'll want to use to implement your automated Hub access in Zapier.

To send purchase information to Membership.io, you'll have to collect the following information on your checkout page:
-
Your Contact's first and last name
-
Their email address
Step 4 – Configure your Zap trigger
For your "Trigger", choose your shopping cart app (Kit in this example) to be connected with Membership.io.
Step 5 – Configure your Zap action
For your "Action", choose Membership.io. Then:
- Select Add or Update Audience (Contact) under Action event.
- Connect your Membership.io account
Once your Zap is configured, you can test it to make sure it works as intended, then Publish it.
