Creating Attribute-based Segments
Control content access in your Hub by using attributes as filters for your Segments
Attributes let you group members based on specific information, like their experience level, interests, or goals in your program.
Text-based and multiple-choice questions work best when creating attribute-based Segments, as these make it easy to apply consistent rules across your Hub.
📹 Watch the video below to see step-by-step how to create Segments using attribute data, from building the attributes to applying them to your Hub content.
How attribute-based segments work
Attributes are questions members answer during onboarding. Segments use these answers to dynamically group members.
Once a segment exists, it can be used to:
-
Restrict access to playlists or resources
-
Personalize content visibility on your Hub homepage
-
Export or communicate with specific groups
💡 TIPS:
- Create attributes first. You don't need members to have answered them yet, but the attribute must exist in your Hub.
- Use multiple-choice options. Standardized responses make it easier to accurately filter members.
- Use saved segments to manage content dynamically without manually updating member lists.
