Unable to change a price in the Hub
What to do if you can't update a price
If you tried to edit the price on an existing product, you may have seen this message:
⚠️ “The payment period is permanent once it’s set. The price amount can only be updated before syncing.”
This happens because once a price is created and synced with your Stripe payment gateway, it becomes permanent and can’t be edited.
Why this happens
Before syncing, prices are editable. You can adjust the amount or payment period.
After syncing, the price details are locked because Stripe requires pricing records to stay consistent. This prevents billing issues for existing subscribers.
What you can do
To change a product’s price after syncing, you’ll need to:
In your Hub, navigate to Payments > Pricing.
Open the three-dot menu next to the price and select Delete.
Once deleted, you can simply create a new price with the updated amount or payment period.
Your updated price will be generated and available to your members soon.
