How to search through your Membership.io Library content
Learn how to use the Library search to quickly find videos, audio, chapters, folders, and transcripts in your Membership.io account
How does the search functionality within the Library work?
The Membership.io Library includes a robust, AI-powered search engine designed specifically to help you find content inside your Library.
Every audio and video file uploaded to your account is automatically transcribed. The Library search uses these transcripts to locate exact words and phrases spoken in your media files, allowing you and your audience to jump directly to the relevant moment—without manual scrubbing or scrolling.
This search works more like searching through a document than using a traditional search engine. Instead of asking questions, you’ll get the best results by searching for specific words or phrases that are mentioned in your content.
Example: If you’re looking for content about retention strategies, search for “retention strategies” rather than a full question like “what are good retention strategies.”
TIP: To get more relevant results, type full search terms—like “retention strategies”—rather than just the first few letters (for example, “reten”).
What does the Library search include?
The Library search bar is designed to search Library content only. It can return results from:
- Video and audio files (based on transcribed spoken words)
- Chapters
- Folders/Playlists
- Transcripts/Keywords
Search results are grouped by result type, making it easy to identify whether a match comes from a file, chapter, folder, or transcript.

From the results list, you can click any item to open the file or jump directly to the exact point in a media file where the term appears.
