Understanding Hub member statuses

Quickly understand who’s paid, unpaid, cancelled, or past due in your Hub

The Members list in your Hub now shows a "Status" for each member. This makes it easier to see whether someone has completed payment, abandoned checkout, canceled, or fallen behind on payments.

Where to find it

Go to your Hub in Membership.io.

Open Members > All Members and check the Status column for each member.

New Member Statuses

Statuses

  • Active — The member has completed the checkout and payment process.
  • Incomplete — The member provided their email at checkout, but did not complete the payment. They will still appear in your Members list, but without access to your content.
  • Delinquent — The member previously had an active subscription, but their latest payment failed, or they are past due.
  • Canceled — The member canceled their subscription.

Why "incomplete" Members appear in your list

Membership.io captures the member’s email before payment so it can match their payment to the correct account. If checkout isn’t completed, the member is still created with a status of "Incomplete."

TIP: Engage "Incomplete" members by sending them an abandoned checkout email to encourage completion.

Some limitations

  • Incomplete members will not have a password set. If they try again, they will need to use the “Forgot Password” option to set one.
  • Because email is collected before payment, some members may have entered invalid or fake addresses, which can affect your ability to follow up with them.
