Can members upgrade their membership from inside my Hub?

Learn how you can have your members manage their subscription from within your Hub

🧰 What You Will Need

  • A Hub with Stripe connected as your payment gateway
  • Products and Prices configured in Stripe
  • The Stripe Customer Portal enabled and configured

Using Stripe to manage subscriptions, members can upgrade or switch plans directly from inside your Hub. This is done through Stripe’s Customer Portal, which is integrated with Membership.io.

Once enabled, your members will be able to access the billing portal to view and update plans.

How it works

When members want to change their plan, they can do so inside the Stripe-hosted Customer Portal. It is accessible via the Billing option in their Hub profile menu. They’ll be redirected to Stripe’s secure portal.

Inside the portal, members can switch between plans or cancel their subscription.

Update product subscription from the Hub

NOTE: When a member updates their subscription, Stripe will automatically handle proration.

Allow your members to change their subscription plan in the Customer Portal 

You can enable the option to allow members to switch plans or cancel their subscription (must turn on "Customer Portal" in Payments > Billing Options > Billing Access).
