Does Membership.io support SSO?

Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to log in once and access multiple systems without creating separate credentials. This is a common requirement for schools, enterprises, and organizations that manage users through an identity provider.

At this time, Membership.io does not support SSO for Hub member logins.

What type of SSO is supported?

Membership.io currently supports SSO only for logging in to your own Membership.io admin account. It does not support SSO for Hub member logins, team-based or organization-wide identity providers (e.g., Okta, Azure AD), or automatic authentication flows that bypass Hub login credentials.

Can I use a workaround to avoid member logins?

Not at this time. Because Hubs are private by default, users must authenticate directly within Membership.io to access content. While you can use external tools (such as Zapier or third-party checkout systems) to control access or automate member creation, members will still be required to:

  • Have a Hub user account

  • Log in using email and password

Switching a Hub to public access removes the login requirement, but this also removes access control and is not suitable for paid or restricted memberships.

Is Membership.io going to support SSO? If so, when?

There is no public timeline for when SSO will be available for Hubs. That said, SSO is an actively discussed feature, and your feedback plays an important role in how future functionality is prioritized.
