What happens when I add Segments to my content?
Want to control who can see specific content inside your Hub? With Segments in Membership.io, you can show or hide entire Hub Sections based on your members’ access level, tags, or behavior — giving each person a personalized experience.
What happens when you add a Segment
When you attach a Segment to a Hub section or piece of content, that content becomes visible only to members who belong to that Segment.
Members outside of the Segment won’t see a “locked” or “restricted” version — the Section simply won’t appear to them at all.
What are Segments?
Segments are groups of members who share a specific condition or characteristic — for example, paying customers, free trial users, or members of a specific program.
You can use Segments to control access to different areas of your Hub and personalize the experience for your members.
Any Hub Section can be locked to a Segment to allow showing or hiding of content based on membership criteria.
How can i attach a segment inside my hub?
Once you've built out your Segment(s), you can attach it to a Hub Section or Hub Content.
In the Hub editor, you'll find the option to attach a Segment under the Visibility dropdown for each Hub section.

From here, Select Segment from the Visibility dropdown. This will present a pop-out window where you can select (or create) the segment. Click ➕ Select Segment to apply the changes.
