Can I offer a free trial to my Hub Audience?

We do not currently support free trials on our platform. However, we are working to add this feature along with other improvements in phase two of Membership.io payments. Please stay tuned for announcements on our feedback site.

Are there any workarounds for offering a free trial?

Yes! Until the free trial feature is fully integrated, you can use these alternative methods:

Use a 100% off coupon for recurring payments

Create a 100% discount coupon in Stripe to cover a specific subscription period. You can find the instructions for allowing coupons on your Hub's payment page here. 

Manually add users to your Hub

You can bypass the payment page and grant members free access by manually adding them to your Hub.

Offer a low-cost trial

Another workaround is to charge a small upfront fee, such as $1, instead of offering a free trial. This fee would allow subscribers to have limited access for a specified period. After that, if they choose to continue, their subscription would automatically transition to the regular recurring fee.
